Hakan,

I will answer both questions here.

First, if an entire project is delegated to an owner, and hence GRO is personal organizer handling your own projects and activities, then for you this is not a project but rather one activity to "follow-up project X". And here you can assign a contact, in this case owner.

Second, you can assign sub-activities - just stand on an activity and press "New". Sometimes thts may be justified, but as a rule, it is more apt to define anything consisting of multiple activities as project (also in accordance with GTD methodology).

Hi Michael;

thank you for your replies.

but I just can not add a sub activity. I do not know if I am doing something wrong but the add new button is inactive when I stand on a task. Can u pls check the attached screen shot?

I know I ask a lot but this is because I think GRO is a really great tool. I have tried many diff. organizers but this is the only one completely matches with my needs.

Sorry for disturbing you.

Hi Hakan,

I will check this issue when back from vacation (after Oct. 20).

In the meantime, try one of the following:
a) create sub-activity as new activity, and move it under an existing activity using Move button
b) define a Project / Sub-Project and define multiple activities for it (generally, this is preferred way of handling complex activities)

I have downloaded your software but I am unable to install it. I have the latest java. Java tells me unable to launch application. I would really like to use your app. I hope that you'll be able to assist me.

If you have a previous installation that is now unusable, go to Control Panel --> Java --> Temporary Internet Files, and remove the Golden Rules Organizer; then try to download again.

If this is not the case - what is the detailed error message you get, and which OS version you are using?
